My experiences with Google backup & Sync, and Google drive file stream ( G suite product )
- When you copy shared link from normal google drive file, it can be opened only in google drive of G suite, not in team drive folder
- When you try to move file from normal google drive to team drive, then it can only be moved if it’s owned by G suite user. If the file is shared from external user, it can’t be moved inside G suite team drive folder.
- Any file within team drive folder is by default shared within members of G suite only. So it can’t be shared with external drive members, but it can be shared with different G suite team drive members.
- Files in desktop clients are normally available offline only in Backup sync utility, and not in Drive file stream utility. You have to make them manually available offline, while it’s in cache folder.
